Off-Broadway Comedy Hit Bad Jews Extends Again

Those naughty Bad Jews aren’t going anywhere soon. Roundabout Theatre Company's acclaimed production of the dark comedy by Joshua Harmon has extended a second time. The play, which opened on October 3, will continue its off-Broadway run at the Laura Pels Theatre through December 29.

As a result of the change, Roundabout’s revival of Donald Margulies' Pulitzer Prize winning play Dinner With Friends will begin and open one week later than originally announced. Performances will start on January 17, 2014, and play through April 13. Opening night is set for February 13.

Daniel Aukin's production of Bad Jews stars Tracee Chimo, Philip Ettinger, Molly Ranson and Michael Zegen. Described as a comedy about the holy and the holier-than-thou, Bad Jews centers on Daphna Feygenbaum (Chimo), a "real Jew" who battles with her cousin Liam (Zegen) over ownership of their late grandfather's Chai necklace. Also in the mix are Liam's shiksa girlfriend Melody (Ranson) and his laid-back brother Jonah (Ettinger), who is determined not to take sides.
